Eric Liberty

Eric “Jett” Liberty is a Class of 2029 two-way varsity playmaker at Cypress Lakes High School in Katy, Texas. Playing WR and SS/DB, Jett has consistently found ways to impact games on both sides of the football throughout his sophomore season. Offensively, he brings vertical speed, strong ball tracking, reliable hands and explosive-play ability. He has shown the ability to create separation, stretch defenses downfield and turn limited opportunities into significant gains and touchdowns. His film also includes explosive receptions that demonstrate his ability even when plays have been erased statistically by penalties. Defensively, Jett has emerged as an active strong safety with sideline-to-sideline range, closing speed, physicality and strong pursuit instincts. He contributes in run support, finishes tackles in space and has shown natural ball skills in coverage. His district film includes an interception returned for a touchdown, along with repeated involvement around the football and multiple impact tackles. Through each game of his sophomore varsity season, Jett has continued to produce a playmaking moment—whether creating an explosive reception, scoring, forcing or creating a turnover, or making a key defensive stop. His versatility at WR, strong safety and special teams gives him legitimate three-phase value and makes him a developing two-way prospect in Texas 6A football.
