Isaiah Campbell

Southern Durham coach Darius Robinson said there have been points during Isaiah Campbell's high school career where he's been unstoppable. “To block him in high school one on one is suicidal,” Robinson said. "He's one of the rare and incredibly talented players that only come along once in a generation or so." Campbell credits a lot of his success to his father, Chris Campbell, a UNC-Pembrook basketball player in the mid-2000s. “My dad says I’ve got to do it ‘thoroughly,’” he said. “I want to earn it. I don’t want to just ride off my talent. Hard work beats talent.” As a junior in high school, Campbell was credited for 124 tackles, 27 tackles for a loss, 16 sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
