Jack is a very good football player. He has three years of good varsity production. His chief asset is probably his ball skills and hands. He not only makes the routine catches and is a reliable target for his quarterbacks, but he also makes some very acrobatic, difficult catches. He has done so several times throughout his high school career. One-handed catches, contested catches, tough catches right along the sideline while keeping his feet in the field of play, he's done it all. His high school has thrown him fades and 50-50 balls, and he wins those at a higher…
Top Attributes
- Ball Skills. His hands, ball tracking, and ability to make tough, acrobatic or contested catches is excellent. - Short-Area Quickness. Has posted good shuttle times and is effective on double moves. - Body Control: Has great ability to make catches along the sidelines and back of end zones while staying in bounds.
Areas to Develop
- Straight-line speed: This is not a deficiency. He has enough speed, but if he can get to another gear, that makes him even more dangerous in college. - Run after catch: Solid here, but another spot where he can continue to make strides if he gets faster.
Film Review Notes
Productive player who makes a ton of plays. Immediately looks like he has some size on film. Can run double moves and get down the field. Also, took a screen for a score, then went to the slot and scored. Pretty good route runner with some suddenness and quicks. Makes catches in traffic. Has good hands. Adjusts to the ball well. Made a couple one-handed catches that show his hand-eye coordination and athleticism.
