Like Wyatt Davis, Jaydon Chatman is a wide-framed offensive lineman who plays left tackle for his high school but projects on the inside in the next level. Both excelled as drive blockers as recruits. Davis was a bit heavier than Chatman at the same stage. 

Versatile road grader that moves people with ease along the line of scrimmage.  Possesses a wide-bodied build with plus length. Measured 6-foot-4, 299 pounds with a 33.5-inch arm prior to his senior season. Tests well in the combine setting, with an electronically-timed 4.71 second shuttle at Under Armour’s Dallas camp. Has a violent initial punch and possesses raw power. Threw over 48 feet in the shot put as a junior. Flashes excellent body control and balance, especially evident in pass protection. Lacks ideal foot speed for playing on the edge and in space. Projects to interior at the next level but could play tackle if in a pinch. 

Jaydon Chatman Scouting Summary

On3 has been ahead of Consensus on Jaydon Chatman for some time. The 6-foot-4, 299-pounder has a high-end combination of length and athleticism along the interior. Chatman has measured with 33.5-inch arms and has posted an impressive 4.71 second short shuttle at Under Armour Next’s regional camp. The Harker Heights (Texas) High has also posted a 48-6.5 foot shot put throw this spring. Chatman is a wide-hipped run blocker who excels at working up to the second level. The combination of ready-made size, length and play strength has us higher than the industry on Chatman.
