Julian Lewis first emerged on the national scene as a middle schooler. He landed his first scholarship offers and was invited to play in the Under Armour All-America Game as an eighth grader and never looked back. "I've had the privilege of coaching Trevor Lawrence," Carrollton High School coach Joey King told ESPN. "He's in the same category as Trevor. The skill set and arm talent he has are definitely advanced for his age." Adds noted Atlanta-area trainer Ron Veal: "He's right there with [Fields and Lawrence]. As far as ability-wise, he's right on par with them." Through his first two seasons of high school football, Lewis threw for more than 7,000 yards and 96 touchdowns. He also was one of the first high school athletes in the Peach State to sign a significant NIL deal, working with Everett Sports Marketing. “Shoot, money’s life,” he said. “I’ve got to help provide for my family. I bought my first car. I bought my dad’s car. It’s definitely been a blessing to go through the process. But I mean, my whole thing is football.”
