A two-way starter at corner and receiver. Also, he is a member of the school's basketball (PG) and baseball (LF/1B) teams, and is interested in exploring soccer and track. Tall and lanky (6'4, 170), he's a natural ball skills player on both sides of the ball, often using his length to his advantage. His catch radius is wide and rangy. Film Review Notes
A rising junior coming off a season as a two-way starter at CB and WR. 6'4, 170 and also played wing on his high school basketball team. Really solid zone cornerback. Impressive at reading passers' eyes and sinking into passing lanes. Uses his length well to constrict windows and come away with interceptions. Really nice ball skills and able to adjust to make off-balance picks. A bit stiff in his hips. Change of direction, backpedal, and overall positional mechanics are rusty and unrefined. No examples on his highlight defending the run or getting his jersey dirty (editor choice just cut out). Selling himself as a rangy ball hawk. Fluid in the open field and is naturally comfortable with the ball in his hands. Good vision to find open alleys. Lined up at multiple spots as a receiver on offense. Good long strides but not overly twitchy. Downfield threat with vertical route tree and some convoy screens. Nice eyes tracking passes and being competent at the catch point, stabbing at targets. Can keep concentration through contact. Can change up speeds nicely. Finesse style with acceleration/deceleration to make tacklers miss.
