The thing that pops immediately when watching Kaydin Williams play is his shooting. That seems to be a central theme in all of his clips. And in his full game with Simeon, he scored consistently from multiple levels. Williams has a crafty handle. I really liked his pace. He utilized quality ball manipulation, which paired nicely with his pace to get him to his spots. Williams handled the ball very confidently both in the half-court and the full court. A next step with Williams will be finding the line between scorer and initiator. He shows excellent passing vision, really able…

Film Review Notes

The shooting is what pops immediately. And that travels with each of the YouTube highlights that I watched. In the 17U re-upload video, he shot the ball very well, was also pretty shifty off the bounce, got to spots, and showed he could rise up from multiple levels in the half-court. As you progress through the loaded videos, there is some full-game action as well. It gave a good, overall encompassing look at how he plays on both ends, and what the misses look like, as well as the makes from the highlights. Dating back to the Lincoln Park video, then Simeon, and even the summer clips, there is a crafty handle with solid ball manipulation and a shooting element. He looked comfortable pushing the issue.

Personal Life

I’m from the Chicago area and grew up playing basketball with the goal of competing at the college level. My family has always supported me and taught me to work hard, stay humble and keep going when things don’t go my way. I’m currently doing a post-grad year at Link Academy, where I play on the PG Elite team. I’m focused on improving every day as a player, teammate and student. Off the court, I like spending time with my family, listening to music and working out.
