Miles McVay Scouting Summary
Charles Power
08/11/22

Massive offensive lineman who stars for one of the top public high school programs in the Midwest. Checked in at 6-foot-5.5, and north of 370 pounds in the off-season prior to his senior season. Has plus length and a big frame with a wing-span over 7-feet. Competitive and physical in both game and camp settings. Lines up at right tackle for East St. Louis, where he faces tough competition in non-league play by way of a national schedule. Plays with heavy hands and shows initial pop on contact. Can swallow up smaller defensive linemen. Understands body positioning and is effective as a puller in the run game. Has above average lateral agility for the position, particularly at his size. More developed in his pass set technique than some other blue-chip offensive tackles. Will need to reshape his body at the next level. Tends to bend at the waist, particularly in pass protection. Does not project as a top athlete at the position but could improve on that front with time in a college strength and nutrition program. Younger for the class, not turning 17 years-old until July before his senior season. Could end up as a right tackle or slide inside at the next level.
