2026 EDGE Mickey Williams decommits from Arizona State

San Fransisco Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep three-star EDGE Mickey Williams has decommitted from Arizona State, he announced on Monday evening.
He was pledged to the Sun Devils since June 22, when he chose the Big 12 program after logging an official visit to Tempe.
Williams is the No. 112 EDGE and No. 110 player in California in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,352 prospect overall.
“First off I would like to thank Coach Dillingham, Coach Clark, Coach Amey and Coach Reynolds for showing me the most respect and giving me opportunity to pursue my dreams of playing college football. But after a lot of thought, prayer, and long conversations with my mom and dad, I have made the decision to decommit from Arizona State University,” Williams wrote announcing his decision.
“This was not an easy choice, because Arizona State has shown me nothing but love and hospitality throughout the entire process. The coaches, staff, and community welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I was part of the Sun Devil family from the very beginning. For that, I will always be grateful.”
The likes of Auburn, West Virginia, Arkansas, Louisville, Minnesota and Kansas State have previously offered the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder. His decision leaves Arizona State with 17 commits in its 2026 class.

More on Arizona State’s 2026 class
While Williams is no longer in the fold, ASU is still well-equipped at the EDGE position, as it has commitments from Cibolo (Texas) Steele four-star Julian Hugo, Waco (Texas) University three-star Ronald Derrick and Mesa (Ariz.) Westwood three-star Sinei Tengei.
Of the 17 commits in the Sun Devils’ class, eight hail from the Lone Star State. That includes El Paso Del Valle four-star quarterback Jake Fette, the nation’s No. 7 QB, who’s been committed to head coach Kenny Dillingham and Co. since Sept. 22, 2024.
Fette is one of four blue-chippers in the ASU class to date, alongside Thousand Oaks (Calif.) Newbury Park tight end Hayden Vercher, Hugo and Humble (Texas) Atascocita Rivals300 running back Cardae Mack.
The class currently ranks No. 47 nationally, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 8 in the Big 12. Other top commits in the class include offensive tackle Cortavious Tisaby, tight end Landen Miree, OT Siosaia Lapuaho and IOL Marques Uini.
