Georgetown (Texas) East View three-star linebacker Tieson Ejiawoko has decommitted from Texas Tech. He announced the news on Wednesday via social media.

He was pledged to the Red Raiders for over 14 months, but is now looking at other options with less than a month to go until National Signing Day.

“After a lot of thought and family discussion, I’ve decided to reopen my recruitment,” Ejiawoko wrote. “I truly appreciate Texas Tech and the coaches for believing in me, but I’m exploring all options moving forward. My recruitment is open.”

Ejiawoko is the No. 500 overall prospect and No. 43 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 67 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder leaves TTU with 20 commits in its 2026 class. Head coach Joey McGuire and his staff still have a pair of linebacker commits in the fold via three-star Kaegan Ash and three-star Cord Nolan.

Texas Tech loses member of 2026 class

It’s been a tremendous fall on the recruiting trail for the Red Raiders, and despite losing Ejiawoko’s commitment on Wednesday, they are still looking to close strong and sign a top-20 class next month. They currently rank No. 22 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military Five-Star Plus+ EGDE LaDamion Guyton committed in August and was the No. 1 recruit in the 2027 cycle. He’s since opted to reclassify and will now head to Lubbock next year. He ranks No. 6 nationally in the 2026 cycle.

“Since I’ve been around Texas Tech they show me nothing but love and the way they show love to my family and the way they’re trying to build something big I want to be part of it,” Guyton told Rivals through his manager.

Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo joined the fold on the Fourth of July and remains locked in with TTU. He’s now the No. 14 overall prospect and creates a dynamic duo at the top of the class with Guyton also in the mix.

Four other blue-chippers sit near the top of the pledge list: Wolfforth (Texas) Frenship four-star wide receiver Chase Campbell, Prosper (Texas) four-star offensive tackle Bryce Gilmore, New Boston (Texas) four-star running back Ace Rowden and Palestine (Texas) four-star cornerback S’Vioarean Martin.

The class also ranks atop the Big 12 with National Signing Day approaching. The full class can be seen here.
