Hollywood (Fla.) Charles W Flanagan three-star wide receiver Santana Carlos has decommitted from UCLA, according to Rivals’ Adam Gorney.

He becomes the ninth senior prospect to decommit from the Big Ten program following the firing of head coach DeShaun Foster earlier this month. Carlos was pledged to the Bruins since June 16.

The Sunshine State pass-catcher is the No. 200 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 157 player in Florida.

“Obviously, I’m shocked,” Carlos told Rivals upon the news that Foster was out as UCLA’s head coach. “Coach Foster was building something very special. He was a really good dude. And he was building something special here with this ’26 class but I am still locked in. I will evaluate everything going forward based on what direction the program is going in.”

Carlos is the second decommitment of the day for UCLA, following another Florida-based receiver in three-star Xavier Stinson. The Bruins had compiled 22 commits prior to Foster’s firing, building a class that ranked inside the top 25 of the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Now down to 13 commits, the class now ranks No. 61 nationally.

The likes of Purdue, Boston College and Tulane were in the mix for Carlos prior to his summer pledge to UCLA. He also holds offers from Indiana, Pitt and West Virginia, among others.

Who’s still in UCLA’s 2026 class?

Following Stinson and Carlos’ decisions to come back on the board, UCLA has seen more damage done to its senior pledge list. Of the 13 names still in the class, as of Sept. 29, three are blue-chip recruits.

Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy four-star defensive lineman Carter Gooden is now the top-ranked commit in the class, checking in as the No. 173 recruit, No. 17 DL and top-ranked player in Massachusetts.

Fort Pierce (Fla.) Vero Beach four-star interior offensive lineman Micah Smith was one of the many Sunshine State recruits to pick UCLA this summer. He is still committed, though Ole Miss got him on campus over the weekend.

Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary’s four-star wide receiver Kenneth Moore is one of six in-state commits still in the fold to date. He’s been committed to the Bruins since last November. Other top commits still in the class include: Littleton (Colo.) Heritage tight end Camden Jensen, Georgetown (Texas) WR Xavier Warren and Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy DL Marcus Almada.
