2027 4-star CB Ace Alston names top 10 schools

Cincinnati Anderson four-star cornerback Ace Alston has notched plenty of big-time offers throughout his recruitment. As he works to capture a state title, the junior has also taken the next step in his recruitment.
On Monday, Alston told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett that 10 schools are at the top of his recruitment: Indiana, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee and USC.
It’s been a busy fall for the 5-foot-11 Buckeye State star. He’s been all over the map taking visits and seeing game day atmospheres. Programs have continued to make impressions on the blue-chipper as he sees some of the nation’s best in acton.
When speaking with Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong this summer, Alston noted that this round of visits were going to be important as contenders continue to emerge in his process:
“Just continue to see the culture of the team, style of play and scheme, rotation of cornerbacks, how they compete, seeing the coaches coach in action and have time to connect with the coaches again face to face,” he explained.
Alston is the No. 119 overall prospect and No. 12 cornerback in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 recruit in Ohio.
Alston has been a key player for an Anderson team that’s still undefeated and amidst a playoff run. The Raptors currently rank as the No. 6 team in Ohio and are a top-100 team nationally, per the Massey Ratings.

One team still trending for Alston
While plenty of programs remain in the running for his pledge, Notre Dame is the team currently trending for Alston, according to the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Last month, three picks were logged in favor of the Fighting Irish winning out for the cornerback. Alston was back in South Bend for the second time this fall to watch Notre Dame defeat USC. Rivals insider Greg Smith gave the reason for his prediction and the latest intel on Oct. 20.
“The environment was on a whole different level—it felt like something out of a movie,” Alston told Rivals after his latest visit to ND. “The fans and coaching staff showed so much love, especially during a rivalry game like that. You couldn’t ask for a better experience. There are so many opportunities to get on the field, even as a young guy, with how many DBs they play.”
Notre Dame already has five commits in its 2027 class and would love to add Alston to the fold. Other contenders remain in the mix heading into the winter, however.
