4-star DL Danny Beale decommits from Oklahoma State

Wynne (Ark.) Cross Country four-star defensive lineman Danny Beale has decommitted from Oklahoma State, he announced on Wednesday afternoon.
He was pledged to the Cowboys since June 25, but is now back on the board amidst a rocky season in Stillwater that witnessed the firing of longtime head coach Mike Gundy on Sept. 23. Beale was the top-ranked commitment in OSU’s 2026 class.
First, I want to thank the coaching staff at Oklahoma State University for the opportunity, the relationship built throughout this process, and the confidence they’ve shown in me to be part of their program and future. I have great respect for everyone involved and truly appreciate the belief they have in me.
With recent leadership changes and important decisions to be made by the university. I’ve decided to decommit at this time,” Beale wrote in a post on X announcing his decision.
“While I’m reopening my recruitment, I remain grateful and open to what the future with this program may hold, ensuring my growth and development stay top of mind as I explore the best fit for my future, both on and off the field. I’m grateful for everyone who continues to support me through this journey.”
The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder is the No. 190 overall prospect and No. 20 DL in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked recruit in Arkansas.

Mizzou, Ole Miss and North Carolina were other programs in the mix for Beale this summer, but he chose Oklahoma State after taking his official visits. His OV to Stillwater came in April.
“Player development is important when I commit,” Beale previously told Rivals. “I want to go somewhere that needs me too. I want to get on the field, so I am looking for a school that is not heavy at my position.”
Both Beale and Owasso (Okla.) four-star DL Tajh Overton initially stayed in Oklahoma State’s class after Gundy was fired, but Overton came back on the board a few days ago and Beale has now done the same.
Oklahoma State’s 2026 recruiting class is now down to just six commits, as of Oct. 15: Carthage (Mo.) EDGE Landon Bland, Bixby (Okla.) cornerback Braeden Presley, Crowley (Texas) CB Brandon Ford, Argyle (Texas) CB Maliek Bracy, Lehi (Utah) tight end Bryton Niu and Orangevale (Calif.) Folsom interior offensive lineman Sunia Vuki.
