4-star IOL Dontrell Glover moves up commitment date

There’s been a change of plans for Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder had been eyeing a July 1 commitment date, but his decision is now set to be made public one week earlier. He announced on Thursday morning via X that he will now commit on June 24, choosing between Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.

In addition, Glover also announced that he will not be taking his official visit to Florida State until the fall. He has already logged his officials to South Carolina and Georgia this month.

Glover is the No. 304 overall prospect and No. 22 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 35 player in Georgia.

Georgia now trending for Glover

Leading into the decision, it’s Georgia that’s currently trending for Glover, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Three predictions have been logged in favor of the in-state Bulldogs landing the blue-chipper this month. He was back in Athens for his OV on June 7.

“Athens Is always a great place to come,” Glover told On3’s Steve Wiltfong after the OV. “The relationships I’m building just keeps getting better and better every time I come down.”

FSU has also been a team to watch for the trench monster, though the Seminoles now won’t get a chance to make another splash on the official visit until later this year. He previously told On3’s Chad Simmons in March that Mike Norvell’s program was at his No. 1 spot.

“You can say Florida State is on top of my list right now,” Glover told Simmons. “I visited, I got the offer, and I liked it a lot. The staff really stood out. Coach Mike Norvell is a cool guy and I see him as a younger Nick Saban. He has great energy, he is a smart coach and he gives a lot to the game.”

Glover’s first official visit came at South Carolina on the May 31 weekend. The Gamecocks originally didn’t make Glover’s top nine earlier in the process, but the coaching staff made an impression, got involved in his recruitment and have made moves since.

“The visit was great, I loved it, it felt like home,” Glover said of his official to GamecockCentral. “I brought my dad up here, he said he liked it, so that’s good.”
