4-star SG Braelon Green announces top 5 schools

Four-star prospect Braelon Green out of Glendale (Ariz.) Dream City Christian tells On3 he’s down to five schools, in no order: Michigan State, Kansas, Arizona State, Tennessee, and Texas.

The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is ranked as the No. 49 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Green, a Michigan native, received scholarship offers from Alabama, Maryland, Missouri, USC, Washington, Nebraska, Mississippi State, and others.

So far, Green has only taken unofficial visits to Michigan State and Arizona State. Green says he plans to visit both Tennessee and Texas at some point this summer.

It should also be noted that Tennessee and Texas are only interested in Green, and have not yet offered.

Green talks finalists

Arizona State: “They let their guards play. Coach Hurley lets them go. They’re in the Pac-12 and that league likes to get up a lot of points.”

Tennessee: “Rick Barnes, his name speaks for itself. He has a lot of pros and he just produced Kennedy Chandler last year.”

Michigan State: “MSU is right up the road from me. They have a family environment. I love all the coaches up there.”

Texas: “Coach Chris Beard lets his guards play also. When I’ll be there, I think they will be in the SEC.”

Kansas: “Kansas speaks for itself. They just won a national title and I love the winning tradition that they bring.”
