Gaskins on Miami
In a recent interview with Rivals, Caleb Gaskins gave his thoughts on the ‘Canes.
“I know a lot about the program since me being from the area. But my main thing with them is just the relationships. Obviously my coach (Andrew Moran) from last year is there now. I had a really good relationship with Jai (Lucas) while he was at Duke. So just the circle there, everybody believes in me. So that’s the main thing for me. They’re definitely letting me know that I’m a priority guy. So they see me helping them win early, being a younger guy. Not a lot of coaches put belief in a 17-year-old, so.”
More on Gaskins
Rivals’ Jamie Shaw recently evaluated Gaskins and had this to say about him:
There is a smooth and calming factor to Caleb Gaskins’ game. The 6-foot-8 forward is never rushed, and he always seems to be in position to make a play. In this one, Gaskins shot the ball very well, feet set, great balance and hit three or four of them from behind the arc. He moves the ball well and I really like the versatility he brings on the defensive end. There are a lot of connecting pieces he brings.
