Highly-recruited 6-6 prospect Callie Hinder commits to Arizona Wildcats

Highly-recruited 2026 prospect Callie Hinder has committed to the Arizona Wildcats, she announced on Friday. The 6-6 center from Australia plays for Phoenix PHH Prep (AZ) and chose the Wildcats over the Kansas Jayhawks.
Hinder was a member of the Australian Gems team that competed at the FIBA U19 World Cup. She previously attended Hamilton High School (AZ) prior to transferring to Phoenix PHH Prep. The center held several other D-I offers, including Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Texas Tech and Providence.

Her size and ability to block shots and make an impact on defense has set her apart from several other recruits at her position.
“My defensive impact is the biggest part of my game right now,” she told Basketball.com.au previously. “I can be long and maybe I am a step slower than some of the really quick guards, but if I can stand in the paint and be really big, then automatically that kind of makes people not want to meet me in the paint, so that helps a lot.”
