Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel 2027 class wide receiver Quentin Burrell is one the top pass catchers in the country.

According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Burrell is the No. 49 overall player in the 2027 class. He checks in as the  No. 2 prospect in Illinois in his class.

Burrell holds offers from over 25 schools from around the country. But there are a few he’s in contact with the most.

Notre Dame, Michigan, Arizona State, Penn State and Missouri are the schools I talk to the most,” Burrell said.

Burrell did note that his recruitment is still open though and he hasn’t trimmed his list down quite yet. But there are a couple game day visits on the horizon for the talented pass catcher.

He will be at Notre Dame on Sept. 13 when the Irish take on Texas A&M. Notre Dame has been a prominent team in his recruitment the entire time. Coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and wide receivers coach Mike Brown are all in frequent contact with him via calls and texts.

Burrell will also be at Penn State on Sept. 27 when the team takes on Oregon. The wideout is looking forward to checking out a huge night game in Happy Valley. In an interesting twist, Burrell will have to focus on attending night games because of his high school team’s schedule.

“I’m looking for development on and off the field,” Burrell said.

“Plus, someplace that feels like home with a great support system where I can be my best.”
