Princeton (N.J.) Hun School quarterback Lukas Prock is just a sophomore, but his recruitment already has the look of a national battle. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound signal-caller is a four-star in the 2028 class, ranked No. 76 in the Rivals300, and has already earned 10 scholarship offers — including one from Ohio State.

Prock camped in Columbus over the summer, and he was back this weekend for his first game visit with the Buckeyes. Seeing the Buckeyes knock off No. 1 Texas 14-7 left a strong impression.

“It was great,” Prock told Rivals. “Very cool to be so close with the players and coaches.”

Prock got an up-close look at Ohio State’s game day environment for the first time and came away impressed.

“I got to see the warmups, the game, and then the locker room atmosphere after a big win. Seeing all the players up close, talking with coach [Billy] Fessler, and watching the win — those were some of the highlights.”

The visit more than met expectations and Prock continues to build his relationship with the Ohio State staff. He connected with Fessler, who has been leading his recruitment.

“I talked to coach Fessler a little bit in the locker room after the game and he said that he’s impressed and will continue to follow me throughout the season,” Prock said.

The young quarterback is also impressed with head coach Ryan Day and the way the Buckeyes operate.

“I really like Ohio State, coach Fessler, coach Day, and I really like how they run the offense. I could really see myself playing there in the future” he added.

Prock threw for 2,109 yards and 25 touchdowns with just 4 interceptions to go with 410 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns last season, and his recruitment is only beginning to heat up. The New Jersey standout has additional visits in the works this fall.

“I’m planning to go to Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan, and Illinois this year. I just haven’t figured out my schedule yet.”

Still early in his journey, Prock is already one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the 2028 class. Ohio State has firmly positioned itself in the mix.
