Cypress (Texas) Cy Park Five-Star Plus linebacker Harold Perkins is down to a top three of LSU, Texas and Texas A&M. But according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), there is one school standing out as a heavy favorite to land his commitment: Texas A&M.

RPM was released to the public on Friday. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Aggies have received a pair of expert predictions in the last few days, first from Ohio State recruiter writer Jeremy Birmingham and later from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. Texas A&M now holds a 94.9 percent chance of landing Perkins, the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2022 class.

Harold Perkins has been on campus at Texas A&M six times since April, including a trip this weekend. He is a native of New Orleans, but LSU’s firing of Ed Orgeron and season-long coaching search allowed the Aggies to make a major move. Texas A&M currently has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
