Sarasota (Fla.) <a href="https://www.on3.com/high-school/cardinal-mooney-sarasota-fl-7059/">Cardinal Mooney</a> quarterback <a href="https://www.on3.com/rivals/davin-davidson-259412/">Davin Davidson</a> made a splash at the Elite 11 Miami Regional earlier this month and his recruitment is now exploding.



His offer sheet has quickly expanded and Power Four programs continue to join the list. <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/michigan-state-spartans/">Michigan State</a> and <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/louisville-cardinals/">Louisville</a> both offered on Monday.



Davidson visited <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/florida-gators/">Florida</a> over the weekend, left with an offer and was then visited by Gators head coach <a href="https://www.on3.com/rivals/coach/jon-sumrall-131272/">Jon Sumrall</a>. <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/kentucky-wildcats/">Kentucky</a> issued an offer on Sunday, while <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/florida-state-seminoles/">Florida State</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/north-carolina-tar-heels/">North Carolina</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/iowa-hawkeyes/">Iowa</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/virginia-tech-hokies/">Virginia Tech</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/duke-blue-devils/">Duke</a> and <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/miami-hurricanes/">Miami</a> led the offer avalanche last week.



The 6-foot-6, 200-pounder won the accuracy challenge at the Elite 11 Regional. Invites to the Elite 11 Finals won’t sent for a while, but there’s reason to believe that he could find himself in Los Angeles this summer.



“It felt good,” <a href="https://www.on3.com/rivals/news/rising-2027-florida-quarterback-davin-davidson-wins-accuracy-challenge-at-elite-11-regionals-in-miami/">Davidson told Rivals’ Marcus Benjamin</a> after the competition. “It was a fun one to compete against the best; I just had to trust my craft and get the job done.” 



<a href="https://www.on3.com/college/nc-state-wolfpack/">NC State</a> and <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/northwestern-wildcats/">Northwestern</a> were the first to offer Davidson. Both got in early, but there’s plenty of competition now. Florida has quickly grabbed some momentum after offering while Davidson was on campus.



“The energy was electric,” <a href="https://www.on3.com/rivals/news/all-gas-in-gainesville-sumralls-gators-turn-heads-during-big-recruiting-weekend/">Davidson told Rivals’ Chad Simmons</a> about his time in The Swamp. “You could feel it throughout the building.”



Davidson is currently unranked in the 2027 cycle, but that will soon change. 



Quarterbacking Cardinal Mooney to a Florida 2A state title, Davidson had a big junior season. He threw for nearly 2,400 yards and 23 touchdowns, completing over 64 percent of his passes. He also rushed for three scores. 



The Cougars went 14-2 and finished as the No. 34 team in the nation and No. 4 team in Florida, according to the Rivals Composite Rankings. Davidson will return as one of the top senior arms in the Sunshine State in 2026.
