Tennessee gets commitment from terrific in-state three-sport star Zaydyn Anderson
Greeneville (Tenn.) High receiver/defensive back Zaydyn Anderson announced his commitment to Tennessee on Saturday.
The in-state Anderson chose to play for head coach Josh Heupel and the Vols over his other finalists in Cincinnati and Toledo.
”Grew up in Tennessee,” Anderson said. “Just felt like home.”
Although Anderson maybe isn’t as highly recruited as the traditional Tennessee recruit, he has tremendous speed and big-play ability. If lined up in the secondary, has the traits to run with just about any receiver in the SEC.
The Vols will play in as a defensive back.
”The culture,” Anderson said of what else stood out.
As a junior Anderson turned 28 receptions into 713 yards and 11 touchdowns. He picked off four passes, returning two for touchdowns en route to earning All-State Honors on both sides of the ball.
