Top 2026 recruit Addison Bjorn has committed to Texas, she announced on Thursday. The 6-foot-2 versatile guard from Riverside (Missouri) Park Hill South High School chose the Longhorns over Duke, North Carolina, UConn, Kansas, Iowa and Notre Dame

“I’m kind of just the glue piece,” Bjorn previously told Rivals. “I feel like whatever coach needs, I find a way to do it. My versatility is something that you can’t really teach, and you either have it or don’t. A lot of people talk about having versatility, but I mean, I can guard whatever position depending on the five, which is a little questionable. I just think I see the court really well, and I get other people involved. Without having the ball in my hand, I think I slash and cut really well and I move off the ball.”

There were several factors Bjorn was considering in her decision.

“The biggest thing with me is, who am I going to be able to lean on on my tough days?” Bjorn told Rivals. “Who do I have the strongest relationship with? Because these are people that I’m going to be around for four years, and obviously I’m gonna need to vibe with them somewhat, right? Obviously, I want to win a national championship. So, whatever that consists of, and then I also want to play with other really good players. Their style of play is huge with me playing fast.”

When asked about Texas previously, she had high praises.
“I love Coach Vic [Schaefer],” Bjorn said. “I’ve built really good relationships with all of the assistant coaches, and then my best friend [Aaliyah Crump] is also going to play for their school.”
