Where things stand with the country's top uncommitted recruits

National Signing Day is just a week away. And while more than 95 percent of the country’s best recruits are already signed, there are still a handful of top uncommitted recruits who are expected to make their commitment decisions on or soon after February 1.
That includes a pair of five-star prospects, as well as arguably the country’s fastest recruit, regardless of position. With the help of the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), we’re breaking down where things stand with some of the biggest uncommitted names in the country.
5-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 20
On3 RPM: South Carolina 28.3%, Michigan 24.1%, Oregon 20.0%, Maryland 15.7%,
The Skinny: A talented two-way player, Harbor plans to sign in February. He has taken official visits to Maryland, Michigan and South Carolina but he’ll take his final official visit to Oregon this weekend. South Carolina currently holds a slim lead for his commitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
5-star TE Duce Robinson
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 23
On3 RPM: Georgia 64.5%, USC 25.1%, Texas 7.6%
The Skinny: It seems to be a three-horse race between Texas, Georgia and USC to land a commitment from Robinson. While USC has been the long-time favorite, Georgia and Texas have both made strong pushes, and the Bulldogs are trending with a week to go.
4-star QB Jaden Rashada
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 64
On3 RPM: Miami 53.5%, Arizona State 23.6%, TCU 13.3%
The Skinny: Rashada has led a winding recruitment, first committing to Miami and then flipping to Florida. He signed with the Gators in December, but asked out of his National Letter of Intent last week after his reported $13.5 million NIL deal was not honored. Now he’s back on the market, with Arizona State, TCU, Cal, Washington and more in pursuit. (Note: The RPM is skewed by old predictions across the industry to Miami that have not been updated.)
4-star CB Rodrick Pleasant
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 100
On3 RPM: USC 52.8%, Oregon 39.6%, UCLA 2.3%
The Skinny: USC and Oregon seem to be the two teams battling for Pleasant. UCLA and others are also still in the mix, but the Trojans and Ducks are still trending for the lightning-quick defensive back.
4-star TE Walker Lyons
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 127
On3 RPM: Georgia 55.9%, Stanford 38.8%
The Skinny: Lyons decommitted from the Cardinal after head coach David Shaw stepped down but he returned to Stanford for an official visit last month and also hosted them in his home last week. USC and Georgia are squarely in the mix as well, with the Bulldogs receiving a prediction from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons earlier this month to land Lyons.
4-star LB Andrew Harris
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 287
On3 RPM: Maryland 80.9%, UCF 4.6%, Pittsburgh 3.0%
The Skinny: Harris decommitted from UCF alongside his brother Michael on Dec. 18. The two figure to be a package deal and schools like Maryland, Michigan, Arkansas and more in the mix. Right now, it’s the Terrapins who hold a commanding advantage in the RPM.

4-star LB Michael Harris
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 361
On3 RPM: Maryland 80.9%, UCF 4.6%, Pittsburgh 3.0%
The Skinny: Harris decommitted from UCF alongside his brother Andrew on Dec. 18. Maryland holds a strong lead in the RPM.
3-star OT Chimdy Onoh
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 420
On3 RPM: Penn State 21.0%, Rutgers 18.4%, Old Dominion 15.7%, Michigan State 13.1%, Ole Miss 13.1%
The Skinny: Onoh was committed to Old Dominion until December 15, but backed off that pledge and started hearing from a number of major programs. He has already taken official visits to Rutgers and Penn State, with trips to Ole Miss and Michigan State still on the docket.
3-star IOL William Spencer
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 441
On3 RPM: Kentucky 98.3%
The Skinny: The Louisville (Ky.) New Albany Senior three-star interior offensive lineman named his top four schools on Christmas Day: Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State and Mississippi State. He hasn’t locked in a date yet for his final decision, but does have an official visit to Louisville set for this weekend.
3-star DL Jamel Howard
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 1042
On3 RPM: Michigan 91.2%, Miami 4.4%, LSU 2.4%
The Skinny: Howard was once committed to Wisconsin, but backed off that pledge in November and reopened his recruitment. Michigan, Illinois and LSU have hosted him for official visits since then, and he’ll be at Miami this weekend before making a decision on February 1.
3-star DL Sua Lefotu
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 1301
On3 RPM: Nebraska 97.3%
The Skinny: Lefotu decommitted from Washington back in November, and the Huskers hosted him last weekend for an official visit. He is expected to OV to Weber State this weekend, but all signs point to him ending up in Nebraska’s 2023 class.
