Updated Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings for the 2027 class

Many schools have already begun building their recruiting classes for the 2027 cycle. On Monday, the updated Rivals300 rankings for the junior class was released and the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings have updated as a result.
Oklahoma already has four blue-chip commits in its 2027 haul and the Sooners headline as a result. As of Oct. 19, there are 17 Power Four programs that already have three or more commits in the cycle.
Below is a look at the top classes early on in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
1. Oklahoma — 94.304
There’s already been a major flip in the cycle and Oklahoma was on the right end of it. Five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett committed to Texas Tech at the end of August, but the Sooners flipped him less than a month later. Now a five-star in the Rivals300, Hackett checks in at No. 6 in the new rankings. Hackett is flanked by four-star OT Kaeden Penny, who’s now No. 20 overall. He also committed to OU on Sept. 25. Last month also brought commitments from four-star athlete Demare Dezeurn (No. 133) and four-star cornerback Mikhail McCreary (No. 212). Three-star OT Luke Wilson was the first to join the class in August.
2. Texas A&M — 91.557
Texas A&M also got its junior class off the ground and running in August with major commitments from four-star quarterback Jayce Johnson (No. 57) and four-star offensive tackle DeMarrion Johnson. Jayce Johnson is now the No. 2 QB in the cycle. Athlete commit Hakim Frampton was unranked earlier this fall and now checks in at No. 284 in the Rivals300. Earlier this month, four-star defensive lineman Elijah Patmon (No. 87) joined the fold for Mike Elko and Co.
3. Nebraska — 91.534
Back in May, Matt Rhule and the Huskers landed a huge commitment from four-star quarterback Trae Taylor (No. 70). He’s now the No. 4 QB in the Rivals300 and is having an impressive junior campaign this fall. Arguably Rhule’s biggest in-state recruiting win of his tenure came in August as elite safety Tory Pittman (No. 18) joined the class. Last month, Nebraska added commitments from new Rivals300 wide receiver Jabari Watkins (No. 207) and in-state offensive tackle Matt Erickson.
4. Alabama — 91.404
Nearly 15 months ago, Alabama picked up an early pledge from four-star EDGE JaBarrius Garror (No. 220). The in-state star remains in the fold and was followed by four-star athlete Alexander Ward last November. This fall has brought commitments from in-state four-star interior offensive lineman Jatori Williams (No. 150) and three-star cornerback Nash Johnson. Per usual, the Tide is already trending for plenty other blue-chippers in the cycle, too.
5. Ohio State — 91.079
Since Nov. 23, 2024, Ohio State has held a commitment from five-star wide receiver Jamier Brown, the No. 1 recruit in Ohio. He’s now the No. 13 prospect in the Rivals300 and remains the top-ranked wideout. Less than two weeks after Brown committed, four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds (No. 161) did the same. Edmunds is now the No. 14 recruit in California and No. 14 QB. Sunshine State safety Angelo Smith, the younger brother of star OSU receiver Jeremiah Smith, committed in September.

6. Georgia — 90.713
Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs landed a pair of junior pledges back in June. Both four-star cornerback Donte Wright (No. 21) and three-star wide receiver Gavin Honore hail from California. UGA then added some beef on Sept. 27 as four-star offensive tackle Kelsey Adams (No. 82) and three-star interior offensive lineman Kyson Mallard both committed before the Bulldogs’ game against Alabama. Georgia is one of four teams that currently has multiple top-100 commits, per the Rivals300.
7. Ole Miss — 89.674
Ole Miss has a pair of Rivals300 representatives in four-star quarterback Keegan Croucher (No. 130) and four-star safety Trae Collins (No. 167). Croucher chose the Rebels over Penn State and Oregon earlier this month. Four-star defensive lineman Jamarkus Pittman committed this summer, while three-star interior offensive lineman Shavezz Dixon and linebacker Jiyez Fleming both pledged last month. Pittman remains a top-100 recruit in the Rivals Industry Ranking.
8. Texas Tech — 89.589
The 2027 cycle has already been a rollercoaster for Texas Tech. It landed five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett, who swiftly flipped to Oklahoma. It did hold onto a pledge from No. 1 overall recruit LaDamion Guyton, but the five-star EDGE has now reclassified up to the 2026 cycle. Now, TTU has a pledge from the new No. 1 recruit in the Rivals300. Five-star defensive lineman Jalen Brewster chose the Red Raiders on Oct. 4. He’s flanked by four-star DL K’Adrian Redmond (No. 189) and DL Antonio Underwood, both of whom committed in September. Joey McGuire and Co. continue to make their presence felt on the recruiting trail.
9. Florida State — 89.146
Florida State continues to land commitments from in-state defensive backs and its 2027 class already features three. Four-star safety Mekhi Williams (No. 241) pledged at the end of March and was swiftly followed by four-star cornerback Bryce Williams (No. 177) on April 1. They headline the early haul and are joined by three-star CB Jemari Foreman and three-star tight end Connor Winn. Foreman, who committed on Sept. 9, is the latest addition to the class.
10. Notre Dame — 88.974
Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish locked up their potential QB of the future back in July as four-star Teddy Jarrard (No. 78) pledged. He’s now the No. 5 signal-caller in the Rivals300. In June, Notre Dame won out for four-star linebacker Ellis McGaskin (No. 223) and long snapper Sean Kraft. The Irish then landed four-star defensive lineman Richie Flanigan at the end of September. Notre Dame is a usual suspect when it comes to loading up a pledge list early in a cycle.
