Athletic, long EDGE prospect with considerable developmental upside. Listed as an unverified 6-foot-5, 215 pounds. A twitchy athlete who has run unofficial 40-yard dash times in the 4.5 to 4.6 second range. Also flashes his athleticism as a multi-sport athlete. Shows considerable above the rim bounce as a basketball player and posted a 44-foot shot put toss as a junior. Carries that athleticism over to Friday nights, where he showed tangible improvement as a senior. Recorded 14 tackles for loss and nine sacks in his final prep campaign. Primarily lines up as a defensive end in a three-man front. Flashes tools that point to upside as a pass rusher. Naturally flexible with the ability to dip and bend around the edge. Has coordinated, quick hands to aid in disengaging from blocks. Plays with a strong, low base particularly for his relatively light weight at this stage. Closes quickly behind the line of scrimmage and in pursuit. Also shows some encouraging signs of being able to hold up as a run defender. Will need to add considerable mass and continue gaining strength once in a college program. On the younger side for the cycle, with an April birthday. May not be ready to make an impact as a freshman but has considerable long-term upside given the physical gifts.
