A dual-threat quarterback with a strong statistical foundation entering his senior season. He's been a starter since his sophomore season and was also a first-team safety as a junior. As a thrower, he shows good vertical anticipation and a solid understanding of when to let passes go in rhythm. He's able to alter his platform to find throwing windows. He's also quick to reset his feet and base when maneuvering in the pocket. Athletically, he's solid, with nice nimbleness and movement skills. His straight-line speed is strong, and he's at his best working north and south. His athleticism makes him a dependable improviser and extender, capable of both buying time and bailing himself out of trouble while keeping his eyes up on the move. He appears to have a high football IQ. It shows up in his strong touchdown-to-interception ratio and completion percentage.
