Simply put, TJ Capers is a winner. As a freshman, he helped Miami Columbus win the Tri-County Football Championship Series and then he helped the Explorers win their first-ever state basketball championship in 2022. Then as a junior in football, Capers racked up 70 tackles, 11 quarterback hurries and seven sacks for Columbus that went 14-1 and won the 4M state championship. As a sophomore, he was a Miami Herald All-Dade 8-6A first-team selection after recording 53 tackles, two forced fumbles and two sacks.
