Tyler Thorell

I’m Tyler Thorell, a junior at Lexington High School. I’ve played varsity football, basketball, and soccer since my freshman year, and I really enjoy competing and being part of a team. In football, I play wide receiver. I’d say some of my biggest strengths are my speed, football IQ, and competitiveness. I was named the Class B Freshman Player of the Year and earned B-5 First Team All-District as a sophomore. I also play striker in soccer and have been to state every year, with our team making it to the semifinals last season. I take a lot of pride in being a good teammate and leader. I like helping younger players, encouraging my teammates, and doing whatever I can to make the team better. I’m also someone who believes in working hard and being dependable. I have a 4.4 GPA and have worked since I was 16, even during sports seasons. I currently work in the hospital cafeteria, and one of my favorite parts of the job is delivering food to patients and being able to brighten their day, even in a small way. I’m competitive and always want to get better, whether that’s in the weight room, on the field, in the classroom, or at work. I’m excited to see where football can take me and would love the opportunity to continue playing at the next level, compete with great teammates, and be part of a program where I can contribute and make a difference.
