Personal Life
Tyson Terry became the first Nebraska freshman to win a heavyweight state wrestling championship since 1971, and the first one ever to do so in Class A. He also was a starter on the varsity as a freshman. He is the son of former two-time Nebraska high school state wrestling champion Ryan Terry, who also was a standout athlete at Omaha North. He received his first scholarship offer after his freshman season from Nebraska.
