Hey, I’m Vinny Henry, Class of 2028, and I play middle linebacker at Friendship Christian School in Tennessee. I’ve been a varsity starter since my freshman year. I missed Week 1 of this season with an Achilles issue, but came back and jumped in at right guard to help the team when we lost a starter. At halftime, I switched back to linebacker and finished the second half with 8 solo tackles and 2 TFLs in a 50–48 win. I’m a linebacker at heart, but I’ll play wherever I’m needed. This season I’ve put up 74 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and a 53-yard pick six—but to me, it’s not about stats. It’s about showing up, doing the work, and putting the team first. Outside of football, I’m someone who takes pride in being coachable, respectful, and grounded. I’ve got a 3.57 GPA, a strong faith, and a deep respect for the people who serve our country—especially our Veterans. I’m also interested in business management and love learning how leadership works both on and off the field. I’ve always been a football guy, but I also enjoy watching equestrian sports—there’s something about the control, discipline, and connection between rider and horse that I really respect. Whether it’s football, school, or life, I try to stay humble, work hard, and make people around me better.
