Personal Life

I started playing football when I was nine years old, and my dad coached me beginning in third grade. Since I was one of the bigger kids on the team, I usually played offensive and defensive line. I also played center, and I was the only kid on my little league teams who could consistently snap the ball. My dad would always tell me that I should try long snapping, but back then, I never really thought much about it. Looking back, the ball control, accuracy, and confidence I developed at center became a foundation for what I would eventually do as a long snapper. Football became a big part of my life, but by my freshman year, I felt like I had lost some of the passion I once had. That changed during summer workouts in 2024 when our specialist coach asked me to try long snapping because our team needed someone at the position. I gave it a chance, and it didn’t take long for something to click. I found a position where I felt like I belonged. Since then, I’ve worked hard to improve and learn everything I can about the position. Going into my junior season, my dad found me a private long snapping coach in Tallahassee, Coach John Spradlin, who everyone calls Coach Sprad. Working with him changed everything for me. He completely rebuilt my mechanics and helped me improve my ball speed, rotation, and accuracy. I still work with Coach Sprad every week, even now during my senior season, and I owe a lot of my growth as a long snapper to him. Between the people who believed in me, the work I’ve put in, and the opportunities I’ve been given, I’ve gone from a kid who was simply told to try long snapping to someone who now wants to see how far I can take it. My goal is to earn the opportunity to play college football and keep proving what I’m capable of.
