Badger Red Zone Podcast: The Second Half is What It Should Look Like for Wisconsin

Wisconsin Badgers insider Evan Floodby: Evan Flood09/08/25Evan_Flood

The Badger Red Zone Podcast returns to break down Saturday’s 42-10 win over Middle Tennessee State. Wisconsin rolled in the second half, scoring 28 unanswered points to put things away. Following a fourth-down stop in the third quarter, the Badgers out-gained the Blue Raiders 277-40. The UW offense scored on four consecutive drives, including a 99-yard series, the longest for the program since 2003. The Blue Raiders also went 3-and-out on two of their final five drives. MTSU never ran more than five plays on any single series during that span. Four of UW’s five sacks also came during that stretch.

However, Wisconsin was once again caught sleepwalking against an inferior opponent. The non-conference history under head coach Luke Fickell leaves a lot to be desired. Are the Badgers ready for Alabama, and where’s the desperation from a program that’s been in a downward spiral since 2020? Evan Flood and former UW safety Collin Wilder break it down on the Badger Red Zone Podcast.
