Wisconsin Injury Report: Gideon Ituka Ruled Out vs. Illinois

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin (3-7, 1-6) will be without redshirt freshman tailback Gideon Ituka against No. 23 Illinois (6-3, 4-3) on Saturday.
Ituka was knocked out of last Saturday’s 31-7 loss at No. 2 Indiana. He was carted off the field and taken to the hospital, but did travel back to Madison with the team. Ituka has started at running back in each of the last three games for Wisconsin. On the season, Ituka owns 255 rushing yards on 60 carries. He was also No. 12 in the nation with five 50-plus passing completions.
“Gideon flew home with us, walked on the plane, and had a smile on his face, like he always does,” UW head coach Luke Fickell said Monday. “From there, what’s moving forward, I don’t really know. Would probably be later in the week.”
Without Ituka, Wisconsin will turn to sophomore Darrion Dupree and junior Cade Yacamelli. Both have battled injuries throughout the season, but are not listed on Saturday’s injury report. Dupree has 181 yards on 54 carries, while Yacamelli has registered 128 yards on 38 carries.
