Wisconsin Falls to Iowa at Home, 37-0

The ugliest night in the Luke Fickell era has come to an end, as Wisconsin falls to Iowa 37-0. The Badgers failed to generate a single point with just 209 total yards of offense to the Hawkeyes’ 319.

Hunter Simmons finished the game with 79 passing yards and two interceptions, as well as a backwards pass that was recovered by Iowa. Kamari Moulton led the game in rushing with 96 yards and a touchdown. The Hawkeyes scored four touchdowns on the ground.

Wisconsin now falls to 2-4 and 0-3 in conference play. Iowa improves to 4-2 and 2-1 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes retain the Heartland Trophy with four straight wins in the series.

To say the first half has been ugly for the Badgers would be a severe understatement. They trail the Hawkeyes 23-0 at the half after a 49-yard field goal from Drew Stevens. Hunter Simmons is responsible for the team’s three total turnovers.

Wide receiver Tyrell Henry is questionable to return with a lower-body injury. Wisconsin has 117 total yards of offense. Fans have been booing the program all night, as we may have hit a new low in the Luke Fickell era.
