MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin held its annual Red-White scrimmage on Sunday. The Red bested the White squad 46-44 in a thriller.

Junior guard John Blackwell had a chance to tie the game late, but missed on a mid-range jumper. Taking over down the stretch, senior guard Nick Boyd scored 11 of the final 16 points and took a key charge against Blackwell. Boyd scored a game-high 21 points on 5-of-9 shooting and also dished out two assists in 24 minutes. The Red also got 11 points (4-8) and four rebounds from junior forward Nolan Winter.

Sophomore forward Austin Rapp led the White squad with 15 points (6-12) and five rebounds in 27 minutes. Blackwell added 13 points (5-12), seven rebounds, and three assists in a complete effort.

Wisconsin will hold its first exhibition on Oct. 24 against Oklahoma on Oct. 24 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
