Wisconsin has its first addition from the transfer portal. Following an official visit, Grand Valley State defensive line transfer Jibriel Conde has committed to head coach Luke Fickell and the Badgers for the 2026 season.

“Growing up, I have always watched them and heard great things about them,” Conde said in a previous interview. “

Conde chose Wisconsin over Auburn, Michigan State, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, and more. Schools like Iowa, Michigan, and South Carolina were also showing early interest.

Ever since bringing over outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell from Grand Valley State, Wisconsin has used the Division 2 powerhouse as a pipeline. The Badgers currently have two GVSU alumni on the roster, Nyzier Fourqurean and Jay’Viar Suggs. Conde still keeps in touch with Suggs, who went on to play first at LSU following his Division 2 career.

“He told me how he is around a lot of hard-working men. He has also told me how Wisconsin has a great staff, as well as how the people there are great too,” said Conde. “It has been nothing but great things he has told me.

During his sophomore season, Conde recorded 30.0 tackles, 6.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and two pass breakups. Conde will have two years of eligibility remaining. He’ll join a Wisconsin defensive front that is only set to return junior Charles Perkins and sophomore Dillan Johnson among its notable rotational players.
