Wisconsin Injury Report: Billy Edwards Remains Out vs. Ohio State

MADISON, Wis. — As reported by On3’s Pete Nakos, Wisconsin senior quarterback Billy Edwards will miss his third consecutive game with a knee injury. Edwards has appeared in just two games in 2025, starting the season opener against Miami (OH) before suffering the knee injury and returning briefly for the Big Ten Conference opener against Maryland.
The Badgers are expected to start senior Hunter Simmons under center. In two starts and three total appearances, Simmons is completing 55.9 percent of his passes for 329 yards and one touchdown to three interceptions. During last week’s 37-0 home loss to Iowa, Simmons went 8-of-21 passing for 82 yards, two interceptions, and three total turnovers.
To make matters worse for UW against No. 1 Ohio State (6-0, 3-0), sophomore tailback Darrion Dupree and senior safety Preston Zachman have both been ruled out. Dupree went down in last week’s loss to Iowa. Meanwhile, Zachman will miss his fourth consecutive game.
Sophomore wide receiver Trech Kekhauna, who exited last week’s game versus the Hawkeyes, is a game-time decision. Kekahuna owns 12 receptions for 143 yards in 2025.
Junior tight end Tucker Ashcraft is also listd as questionable.
Wisconsin and Ohio State will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. CBS will have the call live from Camp Randall Stadium.
