LA Tech Preview
Louisiana Tech rolled past UL-Lafayette 65–44 on Saturday, improving to 6–3 overall and a perfect 6–0 inside the Thomas Assembly Center.
AJ Bates delivered a standout performance at point guard, pouring in 23 points and dishing out eight assists while logging all 40 minutes against the Cajuns.
Kaden Cooper added a dominant double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing a career-high 20 rebounds.
The Bulldogs were equally impressive on the defensive end, holding UL-Lafayette to just 30 percent shooting from the field.
Louisiana Tech now turns its attention to Wednesday night, when the Bulldogs will seek their first road win of the season.
Tulane Preview
Ron Hunter’s squad enters Wednesday night’s matchup with Louisiana Tech at 7–4 overall, though the Green Wave have dropped two of their last three games.
Rowan Brumbaugh has been a bright spot early in the season. The 6-foot-4 junior from Washington, D.C., is averaging 19.1 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field. Brumbaugh consistently attacks the rim, getting to the free-throw line eight times per game and converting at an 83 percent clip.
Curtis Williams Jr. (14.3 points per game) and Asher Woods (11.4 points per game) also provide steady scoring, giving Tulane three players averaging double figures.
The Green Wave have been tough to beat at home, posting a 5–2 record this season.
