Louisiana Tech Announces Challenging 2026 Non-Conference Football Schedule
Louisiana Tech unveiled its non-conference schedule for the 2026 football season on Monday, highlighted by a mix of familiar foes and marquee road matchups.
The Bulldogs will kick off the 2026 campaign on September 5, hosting in-state rival Northwestern State at Joe Aillet Stadium. One week later, Tech heads south to Baton Rouge for a September 12 showdown with LSU, followed by a road trip to Waco to face Baylor on September 19.
Tech will close out its non-conference slate on October 3 when Army, a member of the American Athletic Conference, makes the trip to Ruston.
Louisiana Tech has prior history with each of its four non-conference opponents. The Bulldogs hold a commanding 55-20-5 advantage in the all-time series against Northwestern State, while they are 1-20 against LSU, 1-5 versus Baylor, and 0-3 against Army.
The Bulldogs are expected to join the Sun Belt Conference in 2026, with their conference schedule to be announced at a later date.
