Jordan Seaton injury update: Colorado tackle ruled out vs. West Virginia

Colorado will be without starting left tackle Jordan Seaton due to injury, per Brian Howell. It is the first missed game of Seaton’s college career.
Colorado takes on West Virginia on the road at 12:00 p.m. ET. Both teams come in a 3-6 and must win out to become bowl eligible.
It’ll be a big loss for Colorado on Saturday, especially with freshman QB Julian Lewis getting the start. Seaton recently emerged as one of the nation’s top offensive linemen in terms of pass protection.
As a member of the Class of 2024, Seaton was a five-star-plus recruit out of Washington D.C. and played HS Football at IMG Academy (Fla.), according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He was the No. 5 overall prospect in the Sunshine State, the No. 1 OT in the class and the No. 18 overall prospect in the class.

Colorado’s struggled on offense this year, with or without Seaton. There have been moments with QBs Kaidon Salter and Ryan Staub, but the Buffaloes’ stalled in recent weeks. That even included the reported demotion of OC Pat Shurmur.
Lewis, who was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2025, has played in two games this season. He’s completed 11/21 passes for 129 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. But he won’t have Seaton like anticipated.
“He’s up,” Sanders said. “He’s been having some decent practices. He’s just got to learn the pace of the game. These guys are much faster than the high school guys. They make great reads and they understand tendencies. He has to study his butt off, which he’s been doing, and make the proper reads and get the ball out of there.”
Colorado will be seeking its fourth victory of the season Saturday against West Virginia. The Buffaloes will have to win their final three games of the season (West Virginia, Arizona State and Kansas State) to achieve bowl eligibility.
