1. Mount Carmel (1-0) (2) Its pretty hard to ignore beating a nationally ranked power on the road. Next: vs St. Rita

2. Loyola Academy (1-0) (1) The Ramblers now have an open week, exactly what the Ramblers do not want. Next: Open 

3. Lincoln Way East (1-0) (3) Big win over Maine South on Friday as Jonas Williams goes off. Next: vs Kankakee

4. Downers Grove North (1-0) (4) The Trojans get a 22 yard walk-off field goal from Baker Glomb. Next: @ Downers Grove South

5. Warren Township (1-0) (6) The Blue Devils get another showdown against Maine South on Friday. Next: vs Maine South

6. Nazareth Academy (1-0) (8) The Road Runners sorted out some first half issues and rolled to the 33-12 win over Kankakee. Next: vs Morgan Park

7. Brother Rice (1-0) (9) The Crusaders make the short trip for the annual South Side Super Bowl on Friday. Next: @ Marist

8. Glenbard West (1-0) (21) The Hitters have big play ability this season. Next: vs Joliet Catholic

9. Batavia (0-1) (5) The Bulldogs will get things sored out starting this week facing the Storm. Next: @ South Elgin

10 St. Charles North (1-0) (12) The North Stars get a big come from behind road win over Minooka. Next: vs Homewood Flossmoor

11. Maine South (0-1) (7) The Hawks will get back to work this week and try to limit Warren RB Aaron Stewart. Next: @ Warren Township

12. Barrington (1-0) (14) The Broncos will face another quality opponent in the Huskies. Next: vs Hersey

13. St Rita (1-0) (17) St. Rita gets a nice win over Marist and will now focus on the Caravan in one of the oldest rivalry games in Illinois. Next: @ Mount Carmel 

14. Prospect (1-0) (19) The Knights get a key punt block that was returned for the toiuchdown in beating Stevenson. Next: @ Palatine

15. Fremd (1-0) (NR) The Vikings get out of the gates well behind QB Johnny O’Brien and the Vikes defense locked down Lake Zurich. Next: vs Buffalo Grove

16. St Francis (1-0) (16) The Spartans get a walk off win over Kenwood last Thursday night. Next: @ Zion Prep MD.

17. Fenwick (1-0) (20) The Friars take care of business and beats DePaul Prep on Friday. Next: vs OPRF

18. Glenbrook South (1-0) (NR) The Titans get a huge Week 1 win over York. Next up: @ Taft

19. Oswego (1-0) (NR) The Panthers break out junior QB Drew Kleinhans and roll to an impressive win over Naperville Central. Next: vs Geneva

20. York (0-1) (11) The Dukes will look to bounce back from a tough loss to Glenbrook South last Friday. Next: vs Plainfield North

21. Montini Catholic (1-0) (22) The Broncos hang in and get a close win over Lumen Christi from Michigan. Next: @ Hillcrest

22. Prairie Ridge (1-0) (NR) The Wolves upset Cary Grove as QB Luke Vanderwiel kick starts the Prairie Ridge triple option attack. Next: vs Jacobs

23. Marist (0-1) (18) The Redhawks lose a tight game to St. Rita and next up is the South Side Super Bowl. Next: vs Brother Rice

24. Sycamore (1-0) (24) The Spartans use an 8 minute final drive of the game to beat rivals DeKalb at NIU. Next: @ Moline

25. Hinsdale Central (1-0) (NR) The Red Devils blow the doors off of West Aurora 56-7 last Friday. I did not see that score coming. Next: vs Naperville Central

26. Sandburg (1-0) (28) The Eagles get a nice win over district rival Andrew. Richards will present another challenge this week. Next: vs Oak Lawn Richards

27. Libertyville (1-0) (27) Libertyville gets off to a good tart beating Lemont 24-14 and get another interesting matchup at Naperville North this Friday. Next: vs Naperville North

28. Lincoln Way West (1-0) (29) The Warriors roll over Blue Island Eisenhowwer 47-7 on Friday and take on old friends Lockpock this week. Next: @ Lokcport

29. Morgan Park (0-1) (26) The Mustangs rolled out its power running game offense and Morgan Park will be tough for anyone to face in 2025. Next: @ Nazareth Academy

30. Kankakee (0-1) (15) Kankakee junior QB Phillip Turner is a name to watch this season. Next: @ Lincoln Way East
