DB Griffin pledges to Bowling Green

Chicago (Ill) Morgan Park senior cornerback recruit Kendall Griffin (6-foot-0, 170 pounds) earlier this summer gave the Bowling Green State University Falcons his verbal commitment. Griffins breaks down his college decision here.
“I made an official visit to Bowling Green back on June 14th and I had a great time,” Griffin said. “The coaches and the players made me feel welcomed and I really felt at home on my official visit and then I committed.”
How did Bowling Green stand out
“The official visit definitely played a big role in my decision. I was able to get to know the coaches and the players better. I learned a lot more about the football program and the school. The players and my host on my visit are great people and made me feel a part of the tem already. Basically I saw everything and was able to experience everything BGSU has to offer. The coaches have a plan for me at BGSU and new head coach Eddie George will turn the program around and I’m excited to be a part of that turnaround.”
Which other schools did Griffin consider before committing to Bowling Green?
“I looked pretty hard at Wyoming and Toledo along with Fordham. The coaches at all three schools are great and they both had a lot to offer. In the end, Bowling Green just was the best overall fit for me. Wyoming and my recruiting coach Benny Boyd really pushed hard for me and he’s a great guy, but I needed to make the best decision for me and that was Bowling Green.”
Griffin brings a lot to the BGSU Falcons
“I’m a disciplined player and also a hard worker who also takes pride in being a leader. I’m an elite level defensive back and I’m excited to commit to Bowling Green and can’t wait to play in college.”
