Gophers in the NFL: How former Minnesota football stars played in week five

Week five of the 2025 NFL season is officially in the books. Here is how former Golden Gophers performed in week three of the NFL season.

WR Rashod Bateman | OG Daniel Faalele – Baltimore Ravens

Bateman failed to record a reception on three targets in a 44-10 loss for the Houston Texans. Faalele allowed one quarterback pressure for the Ravens against Houston.

CB Terrell Smith – Chicago Bears

Smith is out for the season with a knee injury.

TE Brevyn Spann-Ford – Dallas Cowboys

Spann-Ford did not record any targets or receptions in Dallas’s 37-22 win over the New York Jets. In five games, Spann-Ford recorded one reception for three yards.

CB Justin Walley – Indianapolis Colts

Walley is out for the season with a knee injury.

S Eric Murray | DE Danny Striggow – Jacksonville Jaguars

Murray had eight tackles, including five solo tackles, in a 31-28 win over Kansas City. He also had one pass deflection.

CB Benjamin St-Juste – Los Angeles Chargers

St-Juste had two tackles in a 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders.

LB Cody Lindenberg – Las Vegas Raiders

Lindenberg did not record any stats in this week’s loss for Las Vegas against the Indianapolis Colts. He has one tackle this season in five games played.

QB Max Brosmer | LB Blake Cashman – Minnesota Vikings

Brosmer did not record any stats in a 21-17 win for Minnesota over the Cleveland Browns in Dublin, Ireland. This season, Brosmer has completed two of four passing attempts for 29 yards. Cashman remains on the injured list after being injured in the Vikings’ season opener.

LB Jack Gibbens – New England Patriots

GIbbens recorded six tackles in a 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bulls. Gibbens has now recorded 23 tackles in five games.

S Jordan Howden – New Orleans Saints

Nubin recorded four tackles and one fumble recovery in a 26-14 win over the New Orleans Giants.

S Tyler Nubin | OC John Michael Schmitz – New York Giants

Nubin recorded five tackles in a 26-14 loss to New Orleans. In five games, NNubin has 25 tackles, including three tackles for loss. John Michael Schmitz did not allow any pressure in the Giants’ loss.

WR Tyler Johnson – New York Jets

Johnson did not record any stats in the Jets’ 37-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Jets wide receiver has four receptions for 63 yards this season.

DT Kyler Baugh | DE Esezi Otomewo – Pittsburgh Pittsburgh

Kyler Baugh is a part of the Steelers’ practice squad and did not play this week. Otomweo was inactive as well.

TE Nick Kallerup | OLB Boye Mafe – Seattle Seahawks

Kallerup was inactive for the Seahawks. Mafe had three tackles and one tackle for loss in Seattle’s 38-35 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

S Jack Henderson | TE Ko Kieft | Antoine Winfield Jr – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Winfield Jr had three tackles in Tampa Bay’s 38-35 win over the Seattle Seahawks. His season total is now 18tackles, three tackles for loss, and one pass deflection in four games.

Ko Kieft is on injured reserve with a leg injury and is expected to miss an extended period of time. Jack Henderson did not appear and was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad.
