The Minnesota Golden Gophers return to action on Saturday morning when they host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Huntington Bank Stadium to open up Big Ten play.
While fresh off a bye week, the Gophers will also look to bounce back from a 27-14 loss to California in week three.
“I thought our guys had incredible energy,” P.J. Fleck said earlier this week about his team’s energy this past Sunday as they look to rebound. “I thought the execution for our game plan being in a short amount of time was at a high level.”
“You know, you only get nine promised games left, and they’re all Big Ten games,” he added. “They come one after another now. And so, you know, we’re doing everything we possibly can to be 1-0 on Saturday.”

Saturday’s game will be televised on the Big Ten Network with Guy Haberman calling the play-by-play, Yogi Roth as the analyst, and Rhett Lewis as the sideline reporter.
Fans can also listen to the game on KFAN 100.3 with Mike Grimm, Darrell Thompson, and Justin Gaard on the call.
Weather
The weather will be picture perfect on Saturday with a high of 75 and a low of 53 in the Twin Cities. No rain is expected, and the wind should be minimal with gusts up to eight miles per hour.
