The Minnesota Golden Gophers have picked up their sixth commitment of the week. On Saturday, the Gophers received a commitment from JUCO defensive linemen KJ Henson.

The Hutchinson Community College standout is the second JUCO prospect to commit to the program in as many days, as safety MJ Graham, another Hutchinson CC standout, announced his decision on Friday night.

The 6-foot-3, 289-pound Henson will be a defensive tackle for the Golden Gophers with the chance to compete for playing time right away next season. In nine games played for the Blue Dragons this fall, Henson has recorded 20 tackles, including six sacks.

Henson is the 30th overall commitment for the Gophers in their 2026 recruiting class and their sixth defensive line commitment

Henson is ranked by the On3 Juco Industry Rankings as the No. 31 player nationally, the No. 6 defensive lineman, and the No. 7 player in the state of Kansas.
