Minnesota Countdown to Kickoff: No. 33 DB Harrison Brun

The countdown until August 28 and the Minnesota Golden Gophers’ 2025 season opener against the Buffalo Bulls at Huntington Bank Stadium is just over a month now, with a mere 33 days remaining until toe meets leather.
In today’s player countdown spotlight, Golden Gophers defensive back and Buffalo, Minnesota native, Harrison Brun is in today’s player spotlight.
A walk-on as part of the Golden Gophers’ 2024 recruiting class, Brun did not see any time on the field as a true freshman. Before his collegiate career, he had a standout career at Rockford High School in Rockford, Minnesota. As a senior, the in-state standout had 86 tackles, including nine tackles for loss. He also had eight pass breakups and four interceptions, with one being returned for a touchdown. On top of his defensive prowess, Brun also was strong on the offensvie side of the ball with 21 receptions for 338 yards and a score. He also had three rushing touchdowns in the process.
In 2025, it’s unlikely that Brun will have any major role for the Golden Gophers. If he does end up seeing the field, that playing time would likely come on special teams.
