Minnesota and Wisconsin set for mid-afternoon kick in week 14

The Minnesota Golden Gophers and Wisconsin Badgers will meet for the 135th time on November 29 at Huntington Bank Stadium with Paul Bunyan’s Axe once again on the line.
On Monday afternoon, the kickoff time for the annual rivalry matchup was announced; the Gophers and Badgers will have a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff with the game televised nationally on FS1.
Since their first meeting on November 15, 1890, Minnesota and Wisconsin have met every season since then, totaling 134 matchups. Through those first 134 meetings, the two sides are tied all-time with at 63-63-8.
The Golden Gophers won last season’s matchup in Madison 24-7. The Gophers have won three of the last four meetings, including a 23-113 win in 2021 at Huntington Bank Stadium.
Currently, the Gophers are 6-4 (4-3) this season and are coming off a 42-13 blowout loss to the No. 8 Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium on Friday. Minnesota, before facing the Badgers, will take on the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Northwestern (5-5, 3-4) is currently a small favorite over the Golden Gophers.
Wisconsin enters this weekend with a 3-7 overall record, including 1-6 in Big Ten play. The Badgers this past Saturday fell to the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington, 31-7. All seven of the Badgers’ losses this fall have been by double-digits. Their lone Big Ten win came two weeks ago against the No. 23 Washington Huskies, a 13-10 win at Camp Randall Stadium.
