The Minnesota football program’s injury report was released two hours before kickoff on Saturday morning, and the Golden Gophers will be without two key starters against the Wildcats.

Out for the Gophers on Saturday include linebacker Devon Williams and cornerback John Nestor.

This will be the first missed game of the season for Williams, who has 73 tackles, including 28 solo tackles, through 10 games. He also has 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Nestor will miss his second game of the season. Through 10 games, he appeared in nine, recording 38 tackles, four tackles for loss, three interceptions, and six pass deflections.

Backup safety Garrison Monroe is also out once again for Minnesota; he’s appeared in just four games this season for the Gophers and hasn’t played since October 11 against Purdue.

Also out for Minnesota are cornerback Evan Redding, cornerback Simon Seidl, and wide receiver Quentin Redding. Running back A.J. Turner, linebacker Joey Gerlach, linebacker Drew Wilson, and defensive tackle Mo OMonode are all out for the season. No players are questionable ahead of the game.

Northwestern’s injury list is a long one, out for the Wildcats include cornerback Evan Smith, wide receiver Drew Wagner, defensive back Damon Walters, running back Dashun Reeder, linebacker Matthew Smith, wide receiver Tate Crane, linebacker Jason Reynolds II, defensive lineman Richie Hagarty, offensive lineman Jace Borcherding, tight end Chris Petrucci, wide receiver Braden Blueitt, tight end Alex Lines, wide receiver Cam Russell, defensive lineman Aidan Hubbard.

That’s on top of four Wildcats who are out for the season in running back Cam Porter, linebacker Yannis Karlaftis, defensive back Jalen Lewis, and defensive lineman Dylan Roberts.
