Minnesota’s 2026 recruiting class featuring 23 commitments is only a few months away from being able to officially sign the dotted line. As the 2026 recruiting class enters its final stretch, the Rivals300 received its latest update on Monday afternoon and four Golden Gophers are ranked within the top-300.

Leading the way for the Golden Gophers is defensive end commitment Aaden Aytch. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound EDGE defender committed to the Golden Gophers in June following an official visit to the Twin Cities. Rivals is higher on Aytch than any other industry ranking, with the Lafeyette, Indiana native ranked 191st overall, is the No. 25 EDGE defender and the No. 2 player in the state of Indiana.

Next up in the top-300, is El Dorado (TX) running back Ryan Estrada. The 5-foot-11 tailback out of El Paso is ranked at No. 229 overall while also being the No. 21 running back and No. 33 in the state of Texas. Rivals is the only site to rank Estrada as a four-star prospect.

In-state defensive lineman Howie Johnson, one of the program’s longest standing commits is the third highest-rated commitment. The Forest Lake Senior standout is ranked No. 268 in the Rivals 300 as well as the No. 21 defensive linemen and the No. 2 player in the state of Minnesota. The only in-state player ranked higher is Triton athlete Pierce Petersohn, a Penn State commitment.

The final Gophers commitment inside the top-300 is another in-state talent, Jackson County Central’s Roman Voss who is ranked 297th in the country, the No. 17 tight end, and the third ranked prospect in Minnesota.
